Herbatint for Fabulous Permanent Hair Colour

Herbatint 10N Hair Colour
For permanent hair colour that looks natural and is long lasting try Italy's Herbatint. It is amonia free and less harsh than most drug store brands. The finished colour will generally be a combination of your natural colour and the shade indicated on the box. I use platinum shade 10N which seems a little extreme but on my medium blonde hair it covers grays, brightens and looks natural.

The kit comes with two small bottles (one the colour, the other the developer), gloves and conditioner. You will need your own application brush (a toothbrush works fine), a glass bowl and an old towel. The colouring process can be a bit messy and takes about an hour. You can also have your colourist do it for you.

To start, mix the two bottles together in the glass bowl and stir with the application brush. The colouring mixture will have the consitency of raw beaten eggs. Apply about half the colour first to roots with the application brush. If you have already coloured hair leave on the roots for 30 minutes then apply the rest to all of your hair and leave in an additional 10 minutes for 40 minutes total. If your hair is not colour treated, apply first to the roots and then immediately apply the rest and leave on for 40 minutes total. Rinse thoroughly, shampoo and rince again. Apply the conditioner from the kit, leave in for 5 minutes, rinse again and your done.

Long lasting gorgous colour.

Refresh every six to eight weeks. Cost about $20.00. Available at health food stores.
