Microcurrent Facial

Buzz: for a juiced up facial try microcurrent rejuvenation.

Theory: sessions are comprised of professional application of spa quality masques alternated with microcurrent stimulation. The microcurrent wands work to relax tensed (wrinkle causing) muscles on some areas of the face and stimulating under worked slacking muscles in other areas. Collagen is also stimulated. The result is a return to an more overall more youthful you. Results are however subtle and accumulate over time. Be sure your operator is skilled and experienced. Newer machines have added blue and red light therapy.

Cost: approximately $100.00 for a 45 minute session. 10 -12 sessions are recommended for full effect.

Spaaaa: very relaxing - all of the benefits of a traditional facial treatment combined with the more lasting effects of weak electrical and light stimulation. Electrical impulses applied to the  face are very weak at first and you may feel nothing at all. In the second round the operator turns up the juice a little. Still it does not hurt and no recovery time is needed. Micro current has been used in medical settings for more than 50 years but only recently has it been adopted by the beauty and spa industry.

Review: Microcurrent helps retain a more youthful appearance but is not a cure for natural aging. If you are paying for regular facials you might as well get one with maximum effect. Sessions provide more tangibles benefits that accumulate over time. Micro current facial rejuvenation is a good first line anti aging defense before resorting to invasive strategies like injectables or surgery.
