Fresh Air & Exercise

Buzz: Fresh air and a little exercise gives the body energy and the skin a healthy glow. Living cells require plenty of oxygen, water and nutrition. A daily walk promotes vitality, burns calories and encourages regular sleeping patterns. It is good for your well being and can provide a sustainable connection to your community.

Beauty 101: Fresh air and exercise provides that radiant outdoor glow by increasing the body's rate of oxygen intake. The trick is to make it a daily good habit. Each walk can take on it's own special character depending on the route you take, the things you see and the people you encounter. Invite your dog, family or friends to join you but a walk alone is also a worthwhile experience. I get my best ideas while walking. The rhythmic steps bring on an alpha state much like meditation that helps to manage stress (less stress means less wrinkles) and inspire posititivity. Nightly walks are a great way to unwind from a high stress day. Walks in the daytime have the added sunshine benefit that boosts your vitamin D and warms your spirit.

Fresh Air: Fresh air is fundamental to your health and therefore your beauty, so make it a priority. High quality air is found near natural outdoor environments like forests, waterways and mountains. If you live in the city, a walk in a nearby park or neighbourhood is nearly always better than indoor air. Keep your indoor air as pure as possible, open windows, be aware of and limit off gassing appliance, carpets and furniture.

Cautions: Practice regular sun safety. Remember to stay sufficiently hydrated. Check with your doctor before embarking on a new fitness program.
